Ryan Walter played more than 1000 games over 15 NHL seasons. Drafted second overall by the Washington Capitals (where he became the NHL’s youngest captain), Ryan won a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens before finishing his playing career as a Vancouver Canuck. He was a World Junior Team Canada Captain, a four-time Team Canada member, an NHL All-Star, the Vice-President of the National Hockey League Players Association and NHL Man of the Year. A member of the BC Hockey Hall of Fame and the Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame, Ryan was named to the 30 all-time Washington Capitals’ dream team, the top 50 all-time BCHL players and the top 100 Montreal Canadiens in 100 years. Ryan has been an NHL coach, the head coach of the Canadian National Women’s Team, a television hockey analyst and a hockey advisor and actor for television and movies. Ryan has a master’s degree in leadership/business and is the author of five books, a board game creator and an expert contributor to newspapers, radio and television.
