Marc Crawford has played and coached hockey on the professional level since 1980 when he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks.
The Belleville Ontario native broke into the NHL coaching scene with the Quebec Nordiques in 1994-95 where he because the youngest recipient of the Jack Adams Award for NHL Coach of the Year.
The Nordiques franchise relocated to Colorado, where Crawford’s coaching success continued with a Stanley Cup ring in 1996.
In 1998 Crawford became the head coach of the Vancouver Canucks where he became the longest-serving and winningest coach for the franchise, coaching in 529 games.
Other coaching posts include the Canadian Men’s Olympic Team, the Los Angeles Kings and Dallas Stars.
Crawford currently is the head coach of the Zurich Lions in Switzerland.
