HEROS is grateful to the hundreds of volunteers who bring our programs to communities across the country every week. Without the dedication of our volunteers, HEROS would not have had the impact it has on thousands of young Canadians. HEROS volunteers range from business professionals, doctors, college students and self-proclaimed hockey moms. Each volunteer brings a unique personality, background and skill to our HEROS family. Even if you’ve never stepped on the ice – HEROS volunteers are able to empower young people.

“You don’t have to be a pro to make an impact on a young person’s life” said a volunteer in Vancouver, “simply showing up to tie skates and listening to some of these kids can have a huge impact. I think I’ve learned more from them than they have from me!”
