Calgary’s Nick McCurdy first Canadian to get NHL scholarship
Calgary teen Nick McCurdy is speaking before U.S. Congress on Captiol Hill. He’s the first Canadian recipient of an NHL scholarship. It’s a huge feat for the 18-year-old, who though he’d never get to play hockey or go to university. Aarti Pole explains why he’s sharing his story with lawmakers in Washington D.C.
