Hello fellow minor hockey lovers — welcome to One Million Skates! We are very glad you are here! At OMS, we are committed to contributing to the common good of the minor hockey community by providing quality content, unique resources and community-building opportunities that directly impact the lives of minor hockey players and their families.

By sharing your comments and ideas, you become an important part of this exciting community, which is designed to support the most positive, healthy and rewarding hockey experience possible. Our commenting guidelines promote constructive, open discussion. However, before you enlighten us — and the rest of the world — with your, ahem, unique perspective, please take note of a few “fair play” guidelines that will determine whether you’re awarded MVP or get stuck “riding the pine”:

MVP

  • Insightful comments that expand upon the article topic
  • Useful and constructive criticism (as opposed to simply talking smack)
  • Relevant, inspiring, empowering, entertaining and/or downright hilarious comments/stories that move the discussion and community forward
  • Being respectful of others’ comments — especially when they are different from your own

Riding the pine (i.e. no OMS ice time for you):

  • Anonymous “gong-show” tirades
  • Any form of defamation
  • Threats directed at us or any of our readers/users
  • Racist, obscene or otherwise nasty remarks
  • Off-topic comments that clearly show your head’s not in the game (i.e. you haven’t read, watched or listened to the content)
  • Violation of anyone’s copyright, trademark, etc.
  • Key words in the name field (instead of your own)

Please be advised that false or inaccurate comments could expose you to liability damages. You may not post any information on or through this website that could be deemed offensive and/or inappropriate, harassing or intimidating. The ideas and thoughts expressed in this area do not necessarily reflect the views of OMS or its affiliates. Opinions, advice, tips and other information made available through this service have not been endorsed by OMS. Always seek the advice of professionals.
